Mityana road


The first race on the 2018 UCF calender was successfully concluded on 25th. February.2018.    The 95 km race was flagged off from Buloba and run along Mityana roand and back to Buloba.                  

 The 15year old also a youngest rider of the day Jordan Ssekanwaji from tropical heat cycling club who was using the new bamboo bicycle brand made by Uganda Cycling Federation "The BACLO BIKE" took the day reaching the finishing line in 3hr:12:02 ahead of Masaka cycling club`s Kato Paul and his biological father a team mate who also doubles as his coach Matovu David arriving and 5min: 02 sec later respectively in the 2nd 3rd position.

This event will take place from 16th/3/2019 at Gulu, registration is in progress for the local community. Start point is at the MTN Uganda service center through a selected route to the Pece memorial stadium at Gulu. 

It is solery sponsored by MTN Uganda.

Following the MTN bicycle challenge at Kabale, it was reveled that more than 300 cyclists participated in the first edition of the MTN bicycle challenge.

After taking part in the Kabaka’s birth day run,Uganda cycling federation in conjunction with Buganda province cycling association as earlier planned flagged off the kabaka’s birth day cycling race

The federation confirmed to be part of all the two official sports activities of cycling and athletics that are meant to pre-sale the land lord’s birth day.
